Tata Consultation Services (TCS) is considering dividing its operational structure into four groups: acquisition, incubation of relationships, company growth, and business transformation, of the three available, confirmed Rajesh Gopinathan, MD & CEO, in an exclusive interview with network18.
“This is a logical evolution where we are. Usually, we have been organized around three dimensions – geography, service and vertical. Now, we try to introduce the fourth dimension to our organization,” said TCS MD & CEO to CNBC-TV18.
“How do we achieve changes like this? What is needed to take us there? We need a growth machine and optimization and growth and transformation,” Gopinathan said about the transformation that occurred on TCS.
The growth and transformation projects carried out by their customers will be the key to Riemoth to achieve the $ 50 billion revenue target they have set, said TCS MD & CEO.
Said that previous organizational structures were around geography, vertical and service, Rajesh Gopinathan stressed that the company needed to have the right structure to participate in growth opportunities.
Explain further about new structural growth tried by the company, he added, “This will be a more balanced portfolio when we achieve a $ 50 billion revenue target.”
“When we reach $ 50 billion, TCS will be much more balanced on the business front and technology, around growth and transformation vs. costs and optimization,” said Rajesh Gopinathan.
Gopinathan claims the TCS focus always increases from the customer franchise and that new structures will help in the logical development of customer travel.
At the target to achieve this kind of change, he said, they introduced this new growth machine because they aimed to realize the logical development of corporate relations with its customers.
When asked about the purpose of the restructuring plan, Rajesh Gopinathan explained, “Again with our focus on customers. The nature of customer relations is very different if different scenarios are considered. More importantly, when we see a lifetime customer relationship with us, there are travel customers. Initial projects must be developed in time to develop trust and relationships. “
“Comfort produces a wider relationship. Then customers seek the strategic value they are looking for in us. The new dimension we introduce will be aware of the logical development of relations with our customers. We want to see that this customer’s travel with us must be as smooth and possible,” Add it.
TCS currently has operations in vertical industries such as retail package goods and consumers, banking and financial services, and communication, among others.
