The Central Information Commission has directed the Election Commission to provide a written statement, stating that it has been given to the RTI activist all information available with it to the election bonds and amendments to the Financial Law.
This must also clarify in a non-judicial stamp paper that is not owned by further information that can be revealed based on the Transparency Law, said CIC.
This case came from the request of the RTI submitted by the activist of Commodore of Lockesh Batra (RETD) who had been searched from the Commission of the Complete Notes related to the introduction of election bonds after the 2017 Amendment for the Financial Law.
Eci has given a response with a detailed note sheet and correspondence owned in his notes.
During the trial before the Central Information Commission, the highest aide body under the law of information, Batra claimed that the notes provided by the Election Commission showed that there seemed to be a “link file” to the file given as a response.
The election commission denied the quarrel, said all the available records sought by Batra had been provided to him. Information Commissioner Head YK Sinha directed the election commission “to give a written statement on a non-judicial stamp paper that clearly overthrown that there is no further information, namely the file/section linked or the new file on the related subject is in the official note with those who can be in the form of provided under RTI ACT “.
The written statement must be completed by the respondent within three weeks after receiving this order with a copy that is marked to the commission of 15.07.2022. It is clarified that non -compliance with this direction must attract the right action, according to the law,” the order said.
