San Francisco: New Head of Parag Agrawal Twitter on Thursday said it would reopen the office globally this month but let people work remotely if they want, because many business closure ends the placement to fight the spread of Covid-19.
Google also prepares employees to return to the silicon valley office in early April, with the hope that they will work from home just a few days a week.
The campus of the technology company was abandoned at the beginning of the pandemic when the spread of Covid-19 caused a social shift to work remotely.
“Business travel is back effective immediately, and all global Twitter offices will open starting March 15,” Agrawal said in a series of tweets.
“Wherever you feel the most productive and creative is where you work and it includes WFH (working from home) full time forever.”
He stressed that those who chose to continue working remotely had to “learn and adapt” given that “the distributed work will be much more difficult.”
Mr Agrawal recommends returning to the office, maintaining that he triggers a dynamic corporate culture.
Google this month plans to help employees adapt to the “hybrid” schedule that combines work remotely and in the office, according to US media reports.
