MG Motor India on Wednesday reported a 40 percent decline in retail sales to 2,481 units in November 2021, because production was affected by the ongoing semiconductor deficiency.
The company has recorded retail sales of 4,163 units in the same month last year.
“Including the industrial challenges of the lack of global semiconductor chips, which greatly limit the level of production, the MG motor continues to work to give to the customer of the MG car which is very much awaited on time,” the company said in a statement.
The new SUV was launched by Artor along with Hector, ZS EV and Gloster continued to have strong customer interests, and the company worked to fulfill his promise and gave the first batch of 5,000 Astors in 2021, he added.
