New Delhi: Campbell Wilson has called his appointment as CEO of Air India and MD as a fantastic opportunity to lead historic airlines and mention that there is a “mountain to climb” in his new task.
Wilson is currently a Chief Executive Officer of a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines owned by Scoot Air.
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is a Tata Group joint venture partner in transporting Vistara’s full service.
On Thursday, Tata Sons announced the appointment of Campbell Wilson as the Director of Implementing and Head of the Indian Air Executive.
In a communicate sent to Scoot employees on Friday, he said, “This afternoon I told the executive team and your union leader about my resignation from Scoot and Sia Group.” He said it was not an easy decision to go and Sia was his first professional job and had become “his house for the past 26 years”.
